Police arrested two active members of cattle thief syndicate from Khutigachha Bridge area in Tarash upazila of sirajganj district early Sunday.

The arrested are: Md. Sagor, 25, son of Ataur Rahman of Bakulpur village in Niamatpur upazila of Naogaon district and Masum Reza, 28, son of Badiuzzaman of Bamonshikar village under Motihar police station in Rajshahi.

Police said, a team of patrol police picked them up from the mentioned space, while they reached there with a truck at around 1:30am of the day. At that time, police also seized the truck and several equipment including sharp weapons.

A case was lodged with the respective police station in this connection, said Md. Nazrul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Tarash police station.
