2 youth’s throat-slit bodies found in Gazipur

Police recovered the throat-slit bodies of two youths from a four-storey building in Gazipur city early Wednesday.

The bodies were recovered around 2 am in Madhabpur area under Gazipur metropolis.

The dead were Rasel Hossain, 23, hailed from Satkhira’s Debhata upazila, and Sufian, 24, from Bhola sadar. They used to work as packaging workers in a factory from one Rezaul Karim’s residence in Uttarpara area of Madhabpur.

According to police and locals, Rasel and Sufian have been living in a flat on the fourth floor of the building for a long time. The owner of the factory called Bakul, the caretaker of the building, at night and said that Rasel and Sufian did not went to the factory on Tuesday.

Later, the caretaker went up to the fourth floor around 11 pm and found the bodies of the two lying in the room. On information, police recovered the bodies.

Kashimpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saiful Islam said the bodies have been sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Legal action in this regard is under process.
