They arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 11 am on Fly Oya Airlines flight YI5040.

According to the Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli, the return of these Bangladeshis was made possible through the embassy’s relentless efforts and the cooperation of the Government of National Unity of Libya.

The Charge d’Affaires and Minister (Political) of the embassy, Kazi Asif Ahmed, saw them off and said, “The embassy has worked tirelessly to ensure the safe return of Bangladeshi nationals. This moment of reunion with their families is a joyful one for us as well.”

Embassy officials added that the process of repatriating more stranded and distressed Bangladeshis from Libya will continue in phases.
