US President Donald Trump has criticised fellow Republicans and television networks following the latest election results, claiming that his presence on the ballot would have secured a landslide victory.

In a series of posts on Truth Social, Trump said he intended to analyse the election outcomes and the reasons behind candidates’ victories and defeats, reports BBC.

“I’m going to become a Political Pundit, both good and bad, on the reasons these Candidates won and lost!” he wrote.

Targeting Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Trump blamed his defeat on what he described as a shift in political stance during the final six months of his political career.

“If Greg Abbott, the Governor of Texas, hadn’t become a RINO in the last six months of his Political Life, he wouldn’t have lost,” Trump wrote, using the acronym for “Republican in name only”.

In another post, Trump shared an image of a red hat bearing the word “veto”, apparently referring to his ability to block legislation passed by the incoming Democratic-controlled Congress.

Trump also renewed his criticism of Fox News, questioning the network’s decision to include former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, a Democrat, on its political panel.

“FoxNews bears responsibility for these losses by constantly and consistently putting on the Dumocrat opposition, and worse,” he wrote.

Earlier in the evening, Trump also highlighted that he had not been on the ballot, claiming that his participation would have changed the outcome.

“I wasn’t on the Ballot and if I was, we would have won IN A LANDSLIDE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he posted.
