​Boy dies in accidental strangulation while playing Symbolic Image

RANGAMATI : A 14-year-old boy died after accidentally getting entangled in a noose while playing with his younger brother at their home in Langadu upazila of Rangamati.
 
The deceased was identified as Arjito Chakma, son of the late Deb Chakma and Kona Chakma, of Paschim Baittapara area under Langadu Sadar Union.
 
According to local sources, Arjito was playing with his younger brother at home on Saturday morning when the accident occurred. Family members later found him seriously ill and rushed him to Langadu Upazila Health Complex, where the attending physician declared him dead.
 
The incident has cast a shadow of grief over the family and the local community.
 
Langadu Police Station said an investigation into the incident was underway.
