Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB)-48 Battalion inseparate drives seized different types of smuggled goods worth over Taka 72lakh from the frontier areas of Sylhet and Sunamganj districts early Saturday. The BGB team conducted the drives in Pratappur, Panthumai, Sangram, Sonarhat, Bichnakandi, Lafarge, Noakot and Kalairag and seized the smuggled goods, saidCommander of Sylhet BGB Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Md. Hafizur Rahman at apress conference.

The seized goods are a huge amount of Indian sugar, oranges, chocolates,buffalo meat, beer, liquor, garlic and horn fish being smuggled fromBangladesh worth about Taka 72.36 lakh.
