Entertainment Desk:

Chorki’s upcoming original film ‘Little Miss Chaos’ is set to premiere on October 9 at 12:01 am. Directed by young filmmaker Mahmuda Sultana Rima, the web film features a cast of emerging talents and promises a refreshing blend of romance, comedy and chaos.

The film stars Hosne Ara Ali Nargis, Deepa Khandaker, Rafiul Quader Rubel, Sadika Swarna, Mohammad Badal Sikder, Nahin Shafiq and Fariha Rahman. At its heart, however, are the youthful characters Ira, Maruf and their circle of friends.

The story revolves around Ira, a young woman navigating the chaos of her world and upbringing. True to the title, Little Miss Chaos, Ira embodies confusion and spontaneity, often masking her messy inner life with her passion for fashion.

Ira is portrayed by newcomer Sadnima Binte Noman, marking her debut in a web film.

Speaking about her role, Sadnima said, “The story will connect with today’s youth. Everyone involved is young, and the film has romance, comedy and a touch of sarcasm.”

“Since I’m Little Miss Chaos, my life was full of chaos both on and off screen during filming. I did it for fun and hope the audience enjoys it,” she added.

Maruf, a university student from a wealthy family, strives to build his own identity by running a food cart alongside his studies. He is also the reason behind much of Ira’s chaos on campus.

Saad Salmi Naove plays Maruf and believes the film offers a new take on romance and comedy. “This film has a bit of everything: fun, drama, mischief, friendship and love,” he said.

“The audience won’t be able to look away. I usually play energetic, carefree roles, but here I’m more laid-back. That challenge made it enjoyable.”

For director Mahmuda Sultana Rima, Little Miss Chaos marks her first web film, though she has previously worked as a producer. Describing the project as a “romantic dramedy,” she said, “In this chaotic metropolitan life, we all carry past traumas and emotional baggage. Moving forward is part of living but what if we find a little shelter and hope amid the chaos?”

Rima wrote the story and dialogues herself, while the screenplay was developed in collaboration with Writers City.

In supporting roles, Crystal D’Rosario and Aisha Khan appear as Ira’s friends, while Tamjid Tanmoy plays Maruf’s close companion.

With its youthful energy and modern storytelling, Little Miss Chaos aims to capture the spirit and the beautiful disorder of contemporary urban life.
