The government has appointed 41 deputy attorneys general, and 67 assistant attorneys general to represent it at the Supreme Court.
The Law and Justice Division’s Solicitor Wing issued separate notifications announcing the appointments on Tuesday.
Solicitor Md Manjurul Hossain signed on the notifications.
On 8 August last year, President Mohammed Shahabuddin appointed Md Asaduzzaman as the attorney general and three others as additional attorneys general.
Five days later, nine lawyers were appointed as deputy attorneys general.
Subsequently, on 28 August 2024, 66 deputy attorneys general and 161 assistant attorneys general were appointed.
