A total of 40,084 students achieved the highest Grade Point Average (GPA-5) in this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, while the overall pass rate stood at 52.12 per cent.

Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon officially announced the results on Saturday morning.

A total of 1,270,583 candidates appeared in this year’s HSC and equivalent examinations under 11 education boards at 2,697 examination centres across 9,439 educational institutions.

Students can access their results through the websites of the education boards by providing the required information.

Results are also available via SMS. Candidates have to type “HSC DHA 123456 2026” and send it to 16140, replacing “DHA” with the first three letters of their respective education board and “123456” with their examination roll number.

Students seeking a re-scrutiny of their answer scripts will be able to apply from 1 to 7 November. Detailed instructions will be available on the respective education boards’ websites.

The HSC and equivalent examinations began on 2 July. Although the examinations were scheduled to conclude on 8 August, several education boards, including Chattogram, could not complete them on schedule due to flooding.
