The 11-party alliance has postponed its previously announced press conference, citing an unavoidable reason.

The press conference was scheduled to be held at 4:30pm on Wednesday (14 January).

The postponement was confirmed in a statement signed by Hamidur Rahman Azad, coordinator of the 11-party alliance.

The statement said it was not possible to hold the press conference at the scheduled time due to an unavoidable reason.

A new date and time for the press conference would be announced later, it added.

Earlier, Rashed Pradhan, vice-president and spokesperson of the National Democratic Party (NDP)—a partner in the 11-party alliance, had said that the alliance would announce its final list of seats on Wednesday evening.

In a Facebook post, he stated that, according to alliance sources, the long-awaited final seat list for the 11-party alliance ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election would be announced at 4:30pm on Wednesday, 14 January, Insha’Allah.
