The Khulna-Benapole-Mongla commuter train service resumed operation on Wednesday morning after 11 days of suspension over security issues.
The commuter train, also known as Betna Express, departed Khulna station at 6:15 am and reached Benapole around 8:30 am.
The train carrying 235 passengers left for Mongla from Benapole at 9:30 am, Benapole station master Saiduzzaman said.
The train service was initially halted on 18 July due to violence across the country. Although the train operation resumed on 1 August, it was again suspended just two days later.
