The government has transferred 14 senior officials, including eight additional deputy inspector generals and six superintendents of police.

A notification issued on Thursday by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed the transfers.

The order, signed by Deputy Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman on behalf of the President, said that the decision was made in the public interest and would take immediate effect.

Among the additional DIGs, Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Sultana Nazma Hossain has been transferred to Tourist Police, DMP’s Md Saleh Uddin to Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Chattogram Metropolitan Police’s (CMP) Md Humayun Kabir to Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), DIG Office Chattogram Range’s Md Riazul Haque to Police Telecom Unit, PBI’s Md Anwarul Haque to DIG Office Sylhet Range, Barishal Metropolitan Police’s (BMP) Md Shamim Hossain to Rajshahi Range, and OSD Asma Siddika Mili has been attached to Dhaka TDS.

Among the SPs, DMP’s Gautam Kumar Biswas has been posted as Chuadanga SP, while incumbent Chuadanga SP Khandaker Golam Mowla has been attached to Police Headquarters. Barishal PBI’s Md Humayun Kabir has been transferred to DIG Office Barishal Range, Railway Police’s Shakila Soltana to DIG Office Dhaka Range, PBI’s Momtazul Ehsan Ahammad Humayun to Highway Police, PBI’s Abu Torab Md Shamsur Rahman to Highway Police, and Special Branch’s Md Amir Khasru to DMP.
