As part of its ongoing humanitarian initiative, the Bangladesh Army organised a free medical camp on Monday at Kazipur upazila of the district, offering vital healthcare services to local residents.
Free medical treatment and necessary medicines were provided to 1,493 local patients at this medical camp organised at Kazipur Government Mansur Ali College premises on Monday morning.
Lieutenant Colonel Anwar Parvez Bhuiyan said the 1,493 people from surrounding areas received free medical consultations and medicines from the camp under the management of 40 Field Regiment Artillery of 11 Infantry Division of Bogura Cantonment.
Six specialist doctors from various disciplines including general medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and ophthalmology were present to provide healthcare services and ensure comprehensive treatments for the patients.
About 51 types of medicines were provided free of cost to the patients at the medical camp.
Lieutenant Colonel Anwar Parvez Bhuiyan said that, “Such humanitarian initiative ‘In Aid to Civil Power’ by the army will continue to end the sufferings of poor and distressed people in the area. Army personnel are ready to fulfill its commitment to stand by the helpless and disadvantaged people of the country in future.”
