The interim government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 15 districts including Sirajganj.

As a result, the new Deputy Commissioner Md. Aminul Islam is going to be replaced at the position of previous Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nazrul Islam in Sirajganj.

The appointment was made in a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration at the night on Saturday (November 8).

Aminul Islam was earlier serving as the Secretary (Deputy Secretary) of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC). Meanwhile, Muhammad Nazrul Islam, who was serving as Sirajganj DC, has been transferred to Gaibandha as DC.

Among others transferred, the responsibility of Bagerhat DC Ahmed Kamrul Hasan has been given to Noakhali, Kushtia DC Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arefin to Habiganj, Bhola DC Md. Azad Jahan to Gazipur, Barguna DC Md. Shafiul Alam to Dhaka and Khulna DC Md. Taufiqur Rahman to Bogura.

In addition, Sylhet Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Sandwip Kumar Singha has been posted to Barguna, Commerce Advisor’s Private Secretary Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud to Magura, Home Ministry Deputy Secretary Abu Sayeed to Pirojpur, Land Records and Survey Department Pabna Zonal Settlement Officer Ms. Afroza Akhtar to Satkhira, Local Government Feni Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) Golam Md. Baten to Bagerhat, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor (Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology) Private Secretary S. M. Jamshed Khondoker to Khulna, Capital Development Authority Director Md. Iqbal Hossain to Kushtia and Cabinet Division Deputy Secretary Dr. Shamim Rahman to Bhola.
