Staff Correspondent: The Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has announced the dates for the 17th Teacher Registration Preliminary Examination. The school-level examination will be held on December 30 at 10 am and the college-level examination on December 31 at the same time.
This was informed in a circular signed by NTRCA Director Tahsinur Rahman yesterday.
NTRCA released notification for the 17th Teacher Registration examination on January 23, 2020 – 11,72,286 people applied for it.
The preliminary examinations were scheduled to be held on May 15 and 16 and the written examination on August 7 and 8 of that year, however, due to the COVID pandemic, the exams were postponed on April 26.
At that time, NTRCA Secretary Obaidur Rahman said, “We are trying to take the exam in the last week of December… The Ministry of Education has been asked to complete the recruitment earlier. Now, if the ministry decides, we can organize the exam in the last week of December.”
In April this year, the Ministry of Education decided to resolve the complications of NTRCA to conduct the 17th Teacher Registration Examination. NTRCA officials discussed solving the complexity of office space and appointing a system analyst with Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni. The Ministry of Education also decided to resolve these complications.
