Tanzil Ahmed, former assistant commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, and Akram Hossain, former constable, were produced before the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Monday morning in cases filed over crimes against humanity during July-August Mass uprising.

Earlier, Tanzil Ahmed was arrested in a case filed over the murder of a college student Imam Hasan Taim during the student movement in the capital’s Jatrabari area on 20 July last year.

On 13 January, a three-member ICT led by Justice Golam Mortuza Mazumder issued an order for producing them before the court Monday.

Simultaneously, the ICT instructed police to produce former constable Akram in a case filed over murder of another college student Md Hridoy, who was shot near Konabari Police Station in Gazipur.
