Two persons including a student were killed in a road accident at Boroitoli area in Kazipur upazila of Sirajganj district on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased are Jibon Ahemd, 20, son of Abdus Salam of Alampur Purbapara village and also student of Government Monsur Ali College in Kazipur and Sohel Rana, 42, son of Moktal Vendor of Meghai village in the same upazila.

Locals said, the accident took place at around 4:30pm, when two motorbikes collided head on at Boroitoli area leaving Jibon dead on the spot. Another injured Sohel was taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital in Bogura, where the on duty doctor declared him dead.

Nur-e-Alam, Officer in Charge of Kazipur police station said, the body of Jibon has been handed over to his family due to their application. But, the body of another deceased Sohel Rana has not yet been reached to here.
