The Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of 25 districts in the country were withdrawn on August 20. Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Md. Mokhles Ur Rahman Monday said that the process of appointing new DCs of these districts is underway. This recruitment will be completed within a week.
He informed this in response to the queries of journalists at the Secretariat on Monday (September 2).
The senior secretary said that the process of appointment of DCs is done through a specific procedure known as “fit-list”. There is a committee of five members for this process.
He also said that there is a list of 600 officers, from that list, we are making a fit-list. It will take another day to complete this process. After that, we will prepare a summary of 25 new DC recruitment. However, the recruitment process for the new DC will be completed within a week.
