The 26th founding anniversary of District Raw Material Traders Association was observed in Sirajganj on Monday.
Marking the occasion, various programmes including a discussion meeting, colorful rally and football tournament were held in the town. A colorful procession that started from the premises of association office marched the main roads in the town. Not only that, a football match was held at the Rahmatganj Cotton Mill ground at afternoon.
The programme was presided over by the association’s President Md. Sohrab Ali and moderated by General Secretary Md. Selim Ahmed. BNP Central Executive Committee member, Sirajganj District BNP General Secretary and Sirajganj Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Saidur Rahman Bachchu attended the programme as chief guest.
Bachchu said, “The business community is the main driving force of the country’s economy. Raw material traders are working tirelessly to keep the country’s factories running. Their unity and contribution will play an important role in the commercial development of Sirajganj in future.”
Sohrab Ali said, for 26 years, our organization has been working for the realization of the rights of the business community, fulfilling its just demands and social development. This trend will continue in the future as well.
Vowing to protect the environment, General Secretary Md. Selim Ahmed said, the Raw Material Traders Association is not only working for business, but also for the welfare of the society. We all have to be more united to maintain this tradition.
Treasurer of the District Raw Material Traders Association, Md. Zahidul Islam, Senior Vice-President of the District Raw Material Traders Association, Md. Sajedul Islam Khan Chowdhury (Emon), Joint General Secretary Md. Ramzan Ali, Organizing Secretary Md. Rikul Alam Titu, Vice-President Md. Abdul Aziz Biswas, Executive Members Md. Saiful Islam, Md. Sabuj and Md. Noor Alam among others were also present in the programme.
