A mobile court in Shyamnagor of Satkhira district sentenced three youths to several terms of jail on charge of eve-teasing to a SSC examinee.

Mst Rony Khatun, Executive Magistrate and UNO of Shyamnagor upazila in Satkhira district sentenced the three on Sunday.

The convicted are Mostafizur Rahman, son of Hafez Ataur Rahman of Chunakhali village, Rakib Hossain, son of Jamal Hossain of Katunia village and Jobayer Hossain, son of Aminur Rahman of the same village.

Quoting victim’s statement, the UNO said, the convicted misbehaved with the girl, while returning to home after attending at the ongoing SSC exam in a local centre. They stalkers chanted slang language and showed bad manners to the girl students.

On information, police reached to the spot and detained the youths. Later, in a mobile court, Mostafizur was sentenced to two months in Jail, while Rakib and Jobayer were sentenced to a 7-day imprisonment.
