3 police stations in Dhaka get new OCs

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has appointed new officers-in-charge (OCs) to Dhanmondi, Rampura and Dakshinkhanpolice stations in the capital.

The appointments made through separate office orders signed by DMP Commissioner Habibur Rahman on Tuesday (July30).

The newly appointed OCs are — Mohammad Emranul Islam for Dhanmondi Police Station, Mohammad Rezaul Haque for Rampura Police Station, and Md Ashiqur Rahman for Dakshinkhan Police Station.

In a separate order, Inspector (Investigation) Md Golam Mostafa was transferred from Khilgaon police station to Jatrabari police station in the same capacity.

Earlier on Sunday, the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued four separate notifications transferring two additional inspectors general of police, five additional deputy inspectors general and 48 officers of superintendent of police rank to various positions.

The following day, another order from the police headquarters transferred the OCs of eight DMP police stations.

The DMP Commissioner’s office says that these appointments and transfers have been done as per are routine work, aiming to optimise the performance of the police force across different areas.
