The government have appointed New Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to 34 more districts of the country.

The Ministry of Public Administration came up with this development on Tuesday.

Sources said DCs have been withdrawn from 34 districts and 34 new ones have been appointed to their places.

Earlier on Monday, the interim government appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 25 districts of the country including Dhaka, Sylhet, Bogura, and Gopalganj. A gazette notification from the field administration branch of the Ministry of Public Administration said this.

After the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government, the DCs of these districts were withdrawn and transferred to various ministries and departments on August 20. Within a few days, the government appointed new DCs in a total of 59 districts.
