4 DIGs sent on compulsory retirement

The government has sent four officers of the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) on compulsory retirement.

This information was shared in a separate notification from the Public Security Division of the Home Ministry on Monday.

Senior Secretary Nasimul Gani signed it on the orders of the President.

The DIGs sent on retirement are DIG Atiqa Islam, attached to the Dhaka Range DIG’s office, DIG Md. Mahbub Alam, attached to Railway Police Dhaka, DIG Md. Monir Hossain, attached to Industrial Area Police and DIG AKM Nahidul Islam, attached to Police Telecom Dhaka.

The notification said that they have been sent on retirement from government service in public interest as per the provisions of the Government Service Act. They will be entitled to retirement benefits as per the governmental rules.

The notification also mentioned that this order issued in public interest will come into effect immediately.
