5 die of electrocution in Bogura Ratha Yatra

Five people died from electrocution and 20 others were injured during Rath Yatra (chariot procession) in Bogura. Among the dead are two men, and three women.
On Sunday (July 7) around 5:30 pm, the accident took place when the Rath Yatra was leaving the Seujgari Iskon temple in Bogura city and was approaching 100 yards.
The deceased are – Alak and Deepak. However, the names of the others were not immediately known.
Locals said that in the afternoon Rath Yatra dome hit with a 33,000-voltage electric wire when it came 100 yards after starting the Rath Yatra from Seuzgari Iskcon temple. Five people died. Besides, 20 others were injured. They have been taken to hospital.
