5 get death sentence for Zihad murder in Khulna

A court of Khulna on Monday sentenced five men to death in a case filed over murder of Zahid in Khulna’s Khalispur area.

Justice Md Jweel Rana, a judge of Tribunal for Prevention of Offenses Disturbing Public Safety in Khulna, announced the verdict on Monday afternoon.

At that time, the court also fined Tk1,00,000 each of the convict.

However, seven accused were acquitted in the case.

Md Sayadul Haque Shahin, an officer of the court, confirmed the information.
