DOST AID Bangladesh Society, a non-government organization (NGO) has provided food assistance to 500 families in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj district.

The organization distributed the food aids to the families through a function held at the ground of Riverview Ideal Degree College in the upazila on Saturday with its founding Chairman Jahangir Alam Chowdhury in the chair.

Sirajganj Sadar Police Station Sub-Inspector Abul Hashem Khandaker, Syed Akbar Ali Memorial High School Headmaster Abdul Wadud, Riverview Ideal Degree College Acting Principal Tanjima Sultana, DOST AID IT Manager Samrat Babar, Media Officer Saju Ahmed, Nazmul Hasan, Ashraful Islam and Md. Yusuf Ali among others were also present at the event.

Each food packet contained approximately 45 kg of food items, including 25 kg of rice, 5 liters of edible oil, onions, potatoes, salt and spices, organization sources said.
