Banglabandha land port was closed for two consecutive days to ensure the security in the border area due to the government holiday over anti-discrimination student movement.
After being closed for two days, import-export operations started through Banglabandha in Panchagarh and India’s Phulbari land port on Wednesday (August 7) morning.
However, passenger traffic at immigration was normal during the closure period.
From Wednesday morning to 1 pm, 94 trucks loaded with goods went to India and Bhutan through Banglabandha land port and 27 trucks arrived in Bangladesh.
