• 11 points demand placed

Police personnel staged demonstrations at Sirajganj police lines on Thursday protesting to the killing of their colleagues during the unrest on quota protest.

The demonstrators also placed 11 points demand including formation of independent commission and police free from discrimination, changing of uniform and ensuring of safety for all of the police personnel and their families.

They also demanded exemplary punishment to the top police officials, who were responsible behind the killing of subordinate police personnel, students and ordinary people.

Police personnel including SI, ASI and Constable of different police stations in the district took part in the demonstrations.

Of them, SI Shahin Mahmud, SI Yamin Sarker and ASI Jahid Hasan spoke on the occasion.

The demonstrators also threatened to continue their agitation until their demand is met.
