Banks asked not to allow cash withdrawals over Tk1 lakh

Commercial banks in the country have been asked not to allow cash withdrawals of more than Tk1 lakh for Thursday.

The Bangladesh Bank gave this instruction in an urgent message to the managing directors of the banks on Wednesday ​​night.

This instruction was applicable only for Thursday, according to the central bank.
