The security guard of the bank arrested a person named Shahidul Islam who came to steal from Janata Bank in Savar, Dhaka. At this time, hundreds of locals gathered under the bank to punish the thief.

The incident occurred at the Janata Bank branch in the Bazar Road area of ​​Savar Municipal area on Wednesday (August 14) around 8:30 pm.

The arrested Shahidul Islam is the son of Joynal Khan of Bakerganj police station of Barishal district. He lived with his family in the Ahaliya area of ​​Kulla Union of Dhamrai, Dhaka.

Russell, the security guard of the bank said, I join the duty around 8 pm. After entering the bank, I saw the thief sitting in a room inside the bank. After that, I ran and locked the gate of the bank. At this time, more people at the bank were called and the thief was handcuffed to the gate of the bank. When questioned later, he admitted to entering the bank around 4 a.m. to commit the robbery.

Savar Model Police Station OC Shah Zaman said that the police was sent to the spot after receiving the information. Legal action is pending against him.
