Milk producing co-operatives of Pabna and Sirajganj districts on Tuesday staged demonstrations including rally at Milk Vita Company gate in Baghabari of Shahzadpur upazila in Sirajganj district protesting to several irregularities of the authorities concerned.

During the period, the demonstrators also brought out a procession that marched the highway. Besides, they held a rally in front of Tank lorry Workers Union office protesting to different anomalies. They also chanted several slogans at that period.

The programme was presided over by Subir Kumar Ghos, while Abdur Razzaque, former Chairman of Bangladesh Milk Producer’s Co-operative Union Limited spoke on the occasion as chief guest.

Speakers at the event said, “Milk producers are being deprived of fair prices. Besides, the institution has been plagued with several irregularities due to willfulness of some unscrupulous officials. We want fair election of Milk Vita Cooperative Association within 90 days for the interest of milk producers and workers.”
