Advocate Mohammad Shishir Monir, the lawyer for Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, has said that the notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs banning Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir is expected to be withdrawn on Tuesday.

Advocate Shishir provided this information at a press conference at the Supreme Court on Monday (26 August).

He said, “I have spoken with the Ministry of Home Affairs. They have informed me that the entire procedure has been completed. Today is a public holiday, I am hopeful that the ban will be withdrawn tomorrow (Tuesday).”
