The interim government on Tuesday again reshuffled the portfolios of its advisers to ease the pressure on Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.
Four ministries previously under Yunus have been distributed among four other advisers, leaving the Nobel Laureate with six ministries to supervise, according to a new notification ordered by President Mohammed Shahabuddin.
The six ministries now under Yunus are: cabinet, defence, armed forces division, food, public administration, and finally civil aviation and tourism.
Finance and commerce adviser Salehuddin Ahmed has got science and technology as additional ministry.
Local government and village development adviser Hasan Arif has got land ministry.
Textile-jute affairs adviser M Sakhawat Hossain has got inland water transport ministry.
Lastly, social welfare adviser Sharmin S Murshid has got women and children’s affairs ministry.
