BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi paid a courtesy visit to veteran journalist Shafik Rehman.

The meeting took place on Friday morning at Shafik Rehman’s residence in New Eskaton, Dhaka.

During the visit, Rizvi engaged in a discussion with Shafik Rehman and inquired about his health.

On August 18, veteran journalist Shafik Rehman returned to Bangladesh after six years in the United Kingdom.

He left the country in 2018 and has returned after six years.

On 17August , 2023, journalist Shafik Rehman, along with Mahmudur Rahman, the acting editor of the daily Amar Desh, and three others, was sentenced to seven years in prison in a case involving a conspiracy to abduct and murder Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
