Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Official) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that the musical instruments of the puja mandap should be stopped during azan and namaz. Musical instruments should be stopped five minutes before Azan.

He said this thing after a meeting with the leaders of the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad at the secretariat on Tuesday.

Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that so far we got the list of total puja mandap in the country is 32,666. This number may increase. There are 157 puja mandap in Dhaka South City and 88 in North City Coporation.

The Home Affairs Adviser said that there was a discussion on ensuring round-the-clock security at the Puja mandap. Total security right from the construction stage. Volunteers will be recruited to prevent nefarious activities. Volunteers will be recruited from any citizen of the country. There will be at least three volunteers at night, and two during the day.

He also said that the necessary road renovation will be done along with measures to alleviate traffic congestion.
