Not everyone named in a First Incident Report (FIR) will be arrested as action will be taken only after proper investigation, DMP Commissioner M Mainul Hasan said Sunday on (September 15).

Speaking at a meeting with the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh at police headquarters Sunday on (September 15), he also said cases could be filed at any time over incidents of crime, adding that cases would also be filed on the incidents of police killings and looting of police stations.

“All police stations will return to normal operations within two weeks. Checkposts have already become operational. Police will be more active in preventing robbery,” he said.
