Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, adviser to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, said the people did not come to the mass upsurge for elections and change of power, they came to abolish the fascist system.
“We are working towards that goal. At the end of the reform, power will be transferred through elections,” Asif said replying to questions from journalists after inaugurating the National Occupational Safety and Health Training and Research Institute on Tuesday.
He also said that rumors are being spread about new political parties. “We have no intention of forming a political party.”

Earlier, AHM Shafiquzzaman, secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, addressed the opening ceremony held in the institute’s auditorium as a special guest.
