A school teacher was killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Bogura highway at Dadpur area in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Munzurul Islam Akanda, 44, son of late Nurul Islam Akanda of Dadpur Mohotpara in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj district.

MA Wadud, Officer-in-Charge of Hatikumrul Highway thana told The Daily Sky (TDS) that, the accident took place at morning, while he was crossing the road. A bus hits him from behind leaving him dead on the spot. But it was not possible to track down the bus so far.

The body of the deceased was handed over to his family members sans autopsy on the request of local headmen.
