2 secretaries, 6 addl secretaries made OSDs

Two secretaries and six additional secretaries have been made officers on special duty (OSDs), according to a notification issued Monday.

In a separate notification, the public administration ministry also announced the transfer of one government official and promotion of three others.

Mashiur Rahman, senior secretary of Security Service Division under home ministry, and Md Khairul Alam Sekh, secretary of social welfare ministry, have been made OSDs.

The six additional secretaries made OSD are: Bangladesh Land Port Authority Chairman Md Zillur Rahman Chowdhury, environment ministry Additional Secretary Mosharraf Hossain, Road Transport and Highways Division (RTHD) Additional Secretary Zakir Hossain, RTHD Additional Secretary AKM Shameem Akhter, RTHD Additional Secretary Md Mahbuber Rahman and Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Chairman Gautam Chandra Pal.

Furthermore, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Chairman Dr AKM Matiur Rahman has been promoted to the rank of secretary of shipping ministry, shipping ministry’s Additional Secretary Sanjay Kumar Banik has been promoted as a Grade-1 official and appointed as the BIWTC chairman, and lastly, Department of Printing and Publications Director General Md Yasin has been appointed as the BRTA chairman.

Food ministry Secretary Ismail Hossain has been transferred to the social welfare ministry.

Rural Development and Cooperatives Division Additional Secretary Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Khan has been appointed on deputation as the chairman of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC).

Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) Inspector General Md Abdur Rahim Khan has been appointed on deputation as a director general of Public Private Partnership Authority.
