Former GCC panel mayor Kiron held from Jashore border

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has arrested Asadur Rahman Kiron, former panel mayor of Gazipur City Corporation, while he was trying to enter India through the Shikarpur border under Sharsha upazila here.

“Based on the intelligence information, BGB arrested him from the Betna area at 11:30pm on Monday,” said a BGB release.

Kiron was handed over to Sharsha police station upon filing a case, said Jashore 49 BGB Commander Lieutenant Colonel Saifullah Siddiqui.
