Baharul Alam has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP) and Sheikh Sajjad Ali as the Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), reads a notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday.

On the other hand, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Mainul Islam and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Mainul Hassan have been removed from their respective positions.

The Ministry of Home Affairs informed it through a circular on Wednesday afternoon.
