Journalist Shafiq Rehman has been granted bail in a case filed against him for allegedly planning to kidnap and kill former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son and her IT advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
He surrendered to the court on Thursday (November 21) morning and applied for bail. The court later granted him bail.
Shafiq Rehman then told reporters that the court is playing a neutral role today. This is a major success of the interim government.
At the time, he also called for giving Chief Advisor Dr. Yunus time and opportunity to work.
He also demanded the release of all politicians including Tarique Rahman.
