The new Election Commission, headed by former secretary AMM Nasir Uddin, will take its oath of office on Sunday.
Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed will administer the oath of office to the new chief election commissioner and four commissioners at 1:30PM on Sunday.
The commissioners are — former additional secretary Md Anwarul Islam Sarker, former district and sessions judge Abdur Rahman Masud, former joint secretary Begum Tahmida Ahmad and Brigadier General (retd) Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah.
Appellate Division spokesman Md Shafiqul Islam confirmed the ceremony a few hours after the Election Commission was chosen on Thursday.
