Two motorcyclists were killed in a head on collision between a bus and the motorbike on the Dhaka-Pabna highway at Boalia Bazar area in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj district on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shariful Islam, 25, son of Mizanur Rahman of Matikata village under Boro Pangashi union in Ullapara upazila and Naimur Rahman, 22, son of Shafiqul Islam of Ratonkandi village in Shahzadpur upazila of the district.

Abdur Rauf, Officer-in-Charge of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station told The Daily Sky (TDS) that the accident took place at around 8:15 am, while a Dhaka bound bus coming from Pabna hit the motorbike from opposite direction at the mentioned place leaving the two bikers dead on the spot.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was lodged with the respective police station in this connection.
