Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, and Sarjis Alam, general secretary of the July Shaheed Memorial Foundation, have gone to Chattogram to attend the funeral of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif, who was murdered in the local court premises.

The funeral was held at the Jamiatul Falah Mosque grounds around 11:30 am on Wednesday.

Earlier, the first funeral of Saiful Islam Alif was held at the court premises around 10:30 am. People from different classes and professions, including lawyers, participated in it

Lawyer leaders there demanded that those involved in the Alif murder be brought to justice quickly.
