Local unit of Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) celebrated its 54th founding anniversary through bringing out a colourful procession and holding a discussion meeting.

With the theme of ‘Disparity-free workplace is the demand of time’, the IDEB leaders and members brought out a rally from its office premises.

They also opened the day through releasing balloons, festoons and pigeons followed by a discussion meeting at its office conference hall.

With local unit President Engineer Aminul Haque in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Engineers Kabir Hossain, Kazi Shakhawat Hossain, Ahsan Habib, Kamruzzaman and Abu Bashir.

Terming the engineering division as one of the important divisions in the country, the speakers unanimously viewed that the diploma engineers have been playing pivotal roles since the very beginning of the country.

They termed the diploma engineers as a big resource of the country and if the resource were properly utilized, the cherished development of the nation could be achieved.

There is no alternative to rendering services with utmost sincerity and honesty for making the nation happy, prosperous and self-reliant.

Diploma engineers have a vital role to play in making all the public level development activities transparent and appropriate, which is very important for the nation.
