BNP Standing Committee member Ikbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku said, “Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is telling lie over Sayeed killing from India with the aim to make the country’s situation unstable again. She is also involved with various conspiracies against Bangladesh. But her efforts will not come to effect.”

He made this remark, while addressing as chief guest in a rally at Jamtail Dhopakandi Government High School in Kamarkhanda upazila of Sirajganj district on Thursday marking to the National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

The veteran BNP leader further said, “Awami League has done injustice to me, to every person in the country. The party men amassed crores of taka illegally and siphoned abroad to make their fortune. But BNP did not do so. No BNP man flees the country even after intolerable torture and repressions for over one and half decade. Due to protest of Students-Public, Hasina has forced to flee the country.”

Sayeed was killed by police firing. But, Hasina and her associates are trying to flow the incident in a different direction to get sympathy of other countries. But her effort will not be fruitful. Students-public will foil their evil conspiracies, he said.

The rally was presided over by Badiuzzaman Ferdous, also president of Kamarkhanda upazila BNP.

BNP’s Rajshahi Divisional Assistant Organizational Secretary Amirul Islam Khan Alim, Sirajganj District BNP President Rumana Mahmud, General Secretary Saidur Rahman Bachchu, Convener of Sechchha Sebok Dal Abdullah-al-Koyes and other leaders and activists of the party among others were also present in the event.
