A man and his 12-year-old daughter were killed after being hit by a train in Naogaon’s Raninagar upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased were Korban, 36, and his daughter Kuhili, residents of Dakkhin Rajapur village.

Local residents informed that Korban Ali, a fisherman by profession, was speech-impaired. He had a feud with his wife over family issues for a long time. On Sunday, following that issue, his wife left the house.

Suspected that, Korban committed suicide with his daughter by jumping in front of the train. Raninagar Police Station OC Moslem Uddin and other top police officials visited the spot.
