The much-anticipated ‘Bankers 7-a-Side Football Fest 2024’ concluded with City Bank claiming the championship title after defeating UCB Bank 2-1 in an intense final. The inaugural tournament was sponsored by popular fashion brand Sailor and held at the Bashundhara Kings Arena Futsal Ground, in collaboration with Bashundhara Sports City.

A total of 11 banks participated in the two-day event, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship. While HSBC Bank secured third place, Meghna Bank was crowned the Plate Champion, and NRB Bank finished as runners-up.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, Deputy Managing Director of UCB; Galib Hamid, Head of Operations at MTB; Mohammad Ridwan Saeed, Executive Director of M.A.Y International Trade Services Ltd.; A R Mallik Rony, AGM of T Sports; and Nashid Hasan, President of HSBC’s Social Sports Club. The dignitaries presented the awards to the winners and praised the participants for their competitive spirit.

The tournament marked a memorable moment for the banking community, fostering camaraderie and a passion for football.
