Country’s popular singers Syed Abdul Hadi and Khurshid Alam will be honoured with ‘Human Rights Award’ lifetime achievement award by the Human Rights Implementation Society.

They will be presented with this award in a grand ceremony on Friday at National Life Insurance Building ‘NLI’ auditorium in the capital’s Karwan Bazar area at 4:00pm on the day.

It is learned that about fifty star artistes from the music industry will attend and perform at the event. Among them, Syed Abdul Hadi, Khurshid Alam, Fakir Shahabuddin, Rizia Parveen, Shahnaz Beli, SM Shafi, Sumi Shabnam, Sohel Mehedi, Close-up star Nolak Babu and Shahnaz Babu are prominent.

This year’s “Human Rights Award” (Lifetime) honour is being given to renowned singers Syed Abdul Hadi and Khurshid Alam. Apart from this, many other eminent personalities will receive the “Human Rights Award” in recognition of their contribution in their respective fields.

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) Chairman Jalal Ahmed is scheduled to be present as the chief guest at the event. The grand event will be inaugurated by Mohammad Kazim Uddin, Managing Director and CEO of National Life Insurance.

The event will be presided over by M Ibrahim Patwari, Chairman of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Environment and Human Rights Implementation Society.
